Awesome VBS 2022 Recap Pictures!
So many great memories made with over 65 kids joining us for VBS throughout the week! Lots of new friends and a bunch of new memories made!
The Gospel Present in Every Moment
We learned a lot of great things this week. As the Gospel became more and more clear, lives were changed! We had 7 salvations this year at VBS! Add to that all the seeds that were planted and the many ongoing conversations... we know that God did a great thing in our midst this week! What an Awesome God!
Money Raised... Lives Changed
Partnering with Group and Operation Kid-to-Kid, the kids at VBS raised money to help Native American Students living on Reservations here in America. Check this out:
VBS 2022 Reflections!
Check out what our awesome volunteers had to say about this years experience of Monumental!
VBS is an exciting time! All of us working together to share the Gospel! I think this year watching my girls all minister at VBS has been very special. We used to work really hard to make it special for them and now they are working really hard to make it special for the next generation!
- Pastor Brad Wieneke
Vacation Bible School means to me… being able to show kids some love and the meaning of Jesus… and how their lives can be changed forever! It excites me how kids get so excited to learn about Jesus and how all the volunteers get excited to teach them! It was an Awesome Week!

It's been great getting to see the pure joy and excitement these kids have as well as the staff. Makes me remember my VBS days and how it was really my first experience with God. I love hearing about all the stations and hearing the new songs they learn ALL the way home on the bus ride.
- Zachary Boggs
VBS this year was an experience! I've never fully seen it as I have always been in the VBS part... so being able to help with the computer and seeing everyone grow with the kids they had, that was great! Then on the last day I could be there, seeing the salvations that happened was so CUTE and put a light inside of me. I'm so thankful for the experience!

VBS gives me a glimpse of how the first church lived.... doing life together! Cooking, cleaning, eating, laughing, playing, joking, worshipping and learning (even some criticism and discipline along the way) but really just life. It’s such a joy being with people who love me and my family well and want to show who Jesus is and what He’s about. I love it every year! It's a lot of work and I’m sore and tired at the end of the week... but it’s worth it! These kids are worth it! And most of all Jesus is worth it! I’m so grateful for those that choose to serve Jesus so sacrificially during this week and I’m grateful to have seen Jesus move.
- Brianna Boyes
It's been a blast this past week being able to play games and see their excitement for God through those games! I've also seen the excitement the kids have when we talk about operation kid to kid, they are ready and willing to give and raise money so they can have the best school supplies and school year ever!
- Zac Gillen
We have loved teaching and “taking the kids back to the Bible” in Bible Adventures! Seeing several come to Christ this week is so exciting as we see God changing lives!
- Brice Martin
VBS this year was more than a week of worship, games and crafts. It was a week to fully love on kids! We had amazing Crew Leaders, Station Leaders, Bus Drivers, Hallway Monitors, Media/Photo Managers, Sound Booth Professionals and Willing Individuals to help every step of the way. These kids felt loved! For a group of people to serve for a whole week to love kids and share the gospel with them... that is a church I’m proud to call my family.
- Anna Wieneke
I have been honored to be part of VBS this year. It has been amazing to watch God move in the hearts of His children. Though we had silly moments and danced our hearts out, God used this week to share the Gospel and plant seeds. Our God is an AWESOME God!
- Candy Lurten
VBS this year was Monumental, pun unintended! I loved being around each of the kids I had... even on the bus with all the wonderful and different conversations we had. Being a part of VBS this year was very eye opening for all the different things we learned out of different parts of one story. I can’t wait for next year!
- Allyson Readshaw
I love the wonder and excitement that VBS brings to the kids’ faces! Bible stories come alive, science experiments reinforce the learning, and being excited about God and His Word is the normal atmosphere. It is so rewarding to see their excitement about Jesus!
- Joanne Wieneke
VBS has meant the world for me this year! It helped me to get out of the dark hole I was escaping back into... and these kids really brightened the whole place up with their smiles and salvations! It was truly a beautiful time!
- Riah Gass
This year VBS meant to me that I could build the relationship with all the kids I didn’t know... as well as get closer to the kids I already knew. Just having those conversations with the kids meant a lot to me. VBS always boosts my confidence level with kids since that is part of what I'm planning to do when I get out of high school.
- Ashley Readshaw
It was a challenge at times going around with a bunch of rowdy boys, but totally worth it! Sharing the love of Christ with them... and knowing that they may not see that everyday... I hope that I made a difference in their lives. Excited to see if they come to GraceKids!
