The Mission

Our mission at Grace Baptist Church is to love God and love people! We want to share the Gospel and disciple those that believe to become fully devoted, followers of Jesus Christ. We believe relationships, discipleship, and evangelism grow best in a loving and serving community. Serving at Grace is being a valuable part of a family that is on-mission to love God with all of our heart, soul and mind... and to love our neighbors as ourselves. The Vision

Our vision at Grace Baptist Church is to equip and send fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ to live out the Gospel today! At Grace you will see the Gospel modeled by our leadership, taught in our classrooms, and practiced by our people. It is the good news of Jesus Christ that changes lives. Serving at Grace means being sent out into your neighborhood each week to be the hands and feet of Jesus. Go and serve in a way that earns you the right to share Jesus with the world.

Relationship

Jesus speaks to his disciples, and He gives them a new command: “Love one another. Just as I have loved you, you are also to love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” At Grace, our first core value is relationship! Since we are not meant to be alone, it is through relationship that we hope to strengthen you as a disciple of Jesus Christ and to encourage you to live out the Gospel today. We encourage you to grow with those you love as you become a fully devoted follower of Jesus Christ.

Discipleship

Discipleship comes out of relationship. Our relationship with Jesus Christ affects our relationships with others. At Grace, our second core value is discipleship! We want you to learn from God’s Word about those we love and allow the Holy Spirit to equip you to love like Jesus loved. We want to train you to be a disciple maker in your family, at work, and in your neighborhood. This all begins with love. By learning to love like Jesus loves, you will be well on your way to becoming a fully devoted follower of Jesus Christ!

Evangelism

Jesus gave a great gift to the church when He ascended to heaven, the gift of evangelism. We have been given the task of sharing His grace with the world. At Grace, our third core value is evangelism! One of our goals is to equip you to share the Gospel confidently and effectively. We believe that evangelism works best when it is done in relationship. All three of our core values work together and are all designed to be done together... in community. This is how we will equip and send you into your community to share about the One you love... Jesus!

Seven Traits of the Faithful Follower

Prayer - This is what fuels us! In confession and intercession, we draw our hearts to His! (James 5:16)
God's Word - This really is our Daily Bread! It provides what we need for every good thing! (2 Timothy 3:16-17)
Discipleship - Our discipleship strategy is what guides us! We can't just wander through life! (2 Timothy 2:1-7)
Holy Spirit - Faithful Followers are lead by the Holy Spirit! We surrender completely to Him! (Romans 8:5-9)
Worship - True worship originates in the heart! It is motivated by the love we have for God! (John 4:23-24)
Evangelism - Our hearts desire is to go and make Him known in Joplin and beyond! (Matthew 28:18-20)
Community - We were never meant to do life alone! We thrive in Biblical Community! (Hebrews 10:23-25)
